Can you help Rail Trails Australia?

Rail Trails Australia are looking for Tasmanian based volunteers to help update their information on Tasmanian Rail Trails. They are a not-for-profit organisation that works for the development and promotion of a rail trail network Australia-wide.

Here's how Damian McCrohan, President of Rail Trails Australia, explains the role,

"Rail Trails Australia primary goals are to assist in the development of rail trails and to promote their use. Critical to this role is being in regular contact with all the open and prospective rail trails around Australia and reflect the current status and news on our website and magazine.  The latest issue of the magazine (for members) is here for your information.

So if we are to help Tasmania more we need a person (or possibly two) that can:

-  Contact rail trail groups in Tasmania to update our information on the rail trails
-  Request (or write themselves!) articles for our quarterly Rail Trails Connections magazine a couple of times a year
-  Update trail descriptions on our website
-  Put news items on our website/Facebook etc.

"Along with enthusiasm to see the potential of rail trails in Tasmania really develop, the other prerequisites are a reasonable internet connection and basic computing skills.  We provide training for the above and obviously try to make the technical processes as simple as possible.  We are of course always ready to help with advice etc."

Ideally this would take 12 to 15 hours a month, though there is a bit of catch up work to be done.
